The Cigna plan is available to all Spain Employees.

This plan is built around Cigna’s network of doctors, hospitals, and other providers that the plan prefers you to use for your healthcare needs. That’s because the providers within this network have negotiated to limit their fees for care and services, saving money for both you and the plan.

You are able to receive care outside of this network, but if you do, you’ll generally pay a bigger share of the cost.

Medical plan highlights:

• Annual plan limit: Unlimited within the insurer Medical Network. Through reimbursement limited to €250,000 per person/year
• Area of cover: Access to more than 51,000 medical professionals and 1,900 hospitals and private clinics throughout Spain
• Pre-existing conditions are covered within the promotional windows (new employees and dependents who join in the same effective date, new borns, new marriages or domestic partners) 30 days to communicate the enrolment to the insurance. Enrollments  Outside this promotional windows standard underwritings apply (waiting periods and pre existing conditions not covered) 
• 100% coverage for medical expenses within the Cigna Provider Network
• 90% reimbursement for out of network coverage
• Unlimited podiatry visits in the Cigna medical network
• Cover for internal prostheses with no limit on costs
• 20 individual sessions with a clinical psychologist per year insured in the Cigna medical network.
  • Upon prescription by a Psychiatrist, Oncologist or Neurologist (or Paediatrician, if the Insured is under 16 years of age), intended to treat pathologies that can be subject to psychological intervention.
  • Sessions may be extended to 40 sessions per Insured and annuity, exclusively for treatments of nutritional disorders (anorexia and bulimia nervosa).

Pharmaceutical reimbursement coverage:

• Reimbursement Rate: 50% of eligible expenses
• Annual Limit: Up to €180 per insured individual, per annuity
• Eligible Expenses:
  • Prescription medications (excluding over-the-counter drugs)
  • Allergy desensitization vaccines
  • Vaccines included in the official immunization schedule

Dental plan highlights:

• Access up to 85 services free of charge within the Cigna medical Network
• Covers, at no extra cost, initial visits, simple tooth extractions, periapical x-rays, an orthopantomograph, and yearly cleaning within the Cigna medical Network
• Emergency dental expense coverage of up to €300 per incident per person during foreign travel
