New to Confluent?

Welcome! Say hello to your benefits.

As part of the Confluent family, we’ve got you covered.

We put a lot of heart into creating a benefits package that ensures you have what you need to thrive. Before you start enrolling, take some time to explore your options and find the plans that will be the best fit for your needs.

Remember:

  • You must enroll in benefits within 30 days of your hire date.
  • If you do not enroll within the first 30 days following your hire date, you will be automatically enrolled in the Collective Health EPO plan.
  • Regardless of when you enroll in that 30-day window, your coverage will take effect on your date of hire.
  • If you wish to take advantage of the $160/paycheck opt out credit, you must decline your medical coverage within 30 days of your date of hire.
  1. Confirm eligibility: Who is eligible for Confluent benefits?
    • You, a regular full-time employee or intern at Confluent, working at least 20 hours/week
    • Your spouse or domestic partner
    • Your dependent children up to age 26, including biological, adopted, stepchildren, children of your domestic partner, or children for whom you or your spouse are the legal guardian
    • Your children age 26 or older who are mentally or physically disabled and rely on your for support
  2. Explore this site: What are your benefit options?
    • Consider different plans, services, and the cost for coverage.
    • Contact benefits providers directly, if you have specific questions.
  3. Ready, set, enroll: What do you need to do?
    • Be sure to complete enrollment within 30 days of your date of hire.
    • Make your benefits selections and enroll by logging into the Benefits Enrollment Center through your Okta dashboard.
  4. Enjoy your benefits: What can you expect now?
    • Keep an eye on your first few paychecks to make sure your benefits deductions match what you elected.
    • Watch for your ID cards to arrive in the mail! Digital ID cards for Collective Health members will be available in the Collective Health portal (accessible via Okta or mobile app) and Kaiser members can submit a Benefits ticket (internal only)  if proof of coverage is needed before ID cards arrive.

A few things to consider:

  • Confluent will allow you to enroll your partner in benefits, regardless of if you have registered as domestic partners within your home state or not. All we ask is that both you and your partner sign our Declaration of Domestic Partnership form via DocuSign.
  • The IRS and some state regulations require you to pay the cost for domestic partner coverage with after-tax dollars.
  • The company’s portion of the cost is subject to income and Social Security taxes as imputed income. Please consult your tax advisor for details.
  • For more information, please see the Domestic Partnership section on the Life Changes page.

When life changes, your benefits might need to change, too! Check out our Life Changes page to see what life changes make you eligible to change your coverage outside of your initial enrollment or the annual Open Enrollment period.
