Supporting you when life takes over.
Confluent recognizes that circumstances occur from time to time that may require you to take leave from work. A leave of absence is generally defined as any approved absence from work for over a week and for a specific reason, other than flexible time off or sick time.
Our leave pay policies are outlined below and approval is dependent on medical certification as outlined by FMLA and Confluent’s short-term disability policy.
Important note: Employees will be directed to apply for all available wage replacement benefits (i.e. short-term disability, state or workers’ compensation benefits, paid family leave, etc.)
Eligible employees will receive up to 8 weeks of paid leave at 100% of their base salary for pregnancy disability. Once that is exhausted, birthing parents are also eligible to receive up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave at 100% of their base salary to bond with their child during the child’s first year of life.
Eligible employees will receive up to 12 weeks of paid leave at 100% of their base salary to bond with their child during the child’s first year of life. Paid parental leave can be taken at once or intermittently in two-week minimum increments and must conclude within 12 months following the birth or placement of a child.
Employees returning from parental leave are eligible for a gradual return to work benefit, allowing them to work 80% of their normal hours for each of their first 4 weeks back.
Eligible employees will receive up to 8 weeks of paid leave at 100% of their base salary if they are unable to work due to injury or illness and approved for short-term disability benefits.
Eligible employees will receive up to 4 weeks of paid leave at 100% of their base salary to care for a seriously ill or injured family member.
Confluent offers 20 days of paid leave in the event an immediate family member passes away (partner, child, parent, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, in-law). Confluent offers 10 days of paid leave for the loss of a non-immediate family member or pet.
