Time for you to relax, refuel, re-whatever.
We work hard, and want to make sure our team has time to play hard, too. That’s why Confluent offers flexible paid time off (FTO) for regular, exempt full-time employees, giving you the freedom to enjoy vacations, staycations, family time, or whatever helps you unwind. With our FTO plan, there are no defined limits on how much time off you can take in a given year. But, FTO must be requested through Workday and is always subject to your manager’s approval.
Regular, non-exempt full-time employees accrue up to 20 days of PTO per year, with those reaching 5+ years of service accruing up to 25 days annually.
For more information on our PTO policies and leaves of absence, please see the company handbook (internal only).

Flexible Time Off cannot be used in place of a Leave of Absence (LOA) because it is intended for short-term needs like vacations or personal days, whereas a leave of absence is designed for extended periods away from work due to specific circumstances such as medical reasons, family care, or other qualifying events. A LOA often comes with legal protections that Flexible Time Off does not provide, ensuring employees have the appropriate time and support for their situation.
