Support for all paths to parenthood.
Every medical plan Confluent offers includes coverage for assistive reproductive services (IUI, IVF, egg freezing, treatment for male-factor infertility etc.). You must be enrolled in a Confluent medical plan in order to access these services. If your partner is looking to access treatment, they too must be enrolled in a Confluent medical plan.
Assistive reproductive services will be billed through your medical plan and are therefore subject to deductible, coinsurance, copay etc. depending upon the plan you choose. Coverage on all plans is currently limited to three complete treatment cycles (lifetime maximum). What goes into a cycle depends upon your unique situation, but everyone has three chances to achieve a healthy pregnancy. Those enrolled in a Collective Health medical plan will access fertility services through Kindbody, while those enrolled in a Kaiser medical plan will access treatment through Kaiser directly.
Confluent also offers a $30,000 reimbursement benefit (lifetime maximum; income tax may apply) to all benefits-eligible US employees who look to build their family through either adoption or surrogacy, or with the help of donor tissue.
When enrolled in a Collective Health medical plan, you can receive up to three KindCycles for fertility treatments, including IUI, IVF, egg/embryo/sperm preservation, male fertility services, and fertility medications through KindbodyRx (services are subject to medical cost share). You’ll have access to Kindbody’s full range of services and network of partner clinics.
Additionally, you’re eligible for up to five holistic health coaching sessions per lifetime, addressing areas such as mental well-being, nutrition, lactation support, menopause care, and return-to-work support. If you need more than five sessions, additional sessions are available at a discounted rate through employer pricing.

If you’re expanding your family through adoption, surrogacy, or with the help of donor tissue, Confluent offers reimbursement for eligible expenses up to $30,000 (lifetime maximum; income tax may apply). You will apply for reimbursement through Kindbody. In addition to managing expense reimbursements, Kindbody can support you throughout the adoption or surrogacy process and assist in sourcing donor tissue. Connect with their team for financial consultations, referrals to vetted agencies, legal assistance, and more.
